Chicago Reverend's Plan to Build for the Future | NBC Left Field

In Chicago, the West Garfield Park neighborhood has the lowest life expectancy in the city. As gun violence, drug addiction, and a lack of high-quality education threaten the community, the Rev. Marshall Hatch, Jr. has a solution: the Maafa Redemption Project. With a team of life coaches, Hatch is mentoring young men in carpentry, among other trades, to rehabilitate homes in the neighborhood.
